With rampant labor abuses still happening in the fashion industry and 98% of workers are kept in a cycle of poverty due to oppressively low wages theses brands are taking the first step in doing something. With the belief that first step to addressing this issue is for brands to be honest about current baseline - both of the brands have just recently published their lowest factory wages and are asking other brands to do the same.
